My family and I had a great experience from booking with Marisol to the tour with Mike, it was all excellent. We communicated with Marisol via WhatsApp to see if we could organise a trip to Tulum for the following morning. She was really responsive and helpful. She suggested adding in swimming in a Xenote. Mike collected us in a clean and cool SUV. He was engaging and knowledgeable and was able to keep my teenage sons engaged throughout the day. Mike took us around the gorgeous ruins and explained everything clearly. The highlight was swimming in the Xenotes. Mike had all the gear needed to snorkel and made us feel safe. The xenotes he took us to were quiet and beautiful. We had a tight window as we had other plans in the afternoon. Mike made sure that we did everything we wanted and got us back in time. Highly recommended!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Chichén Itzá Small Group Tour Our tour of Chichén Itzá from start to finish was genuinely magical, and that was largely down to our fantastic guide, Mario. From his prompt and warm welcome to his incredible knowledge, Mario gave us a fascinating insight into Mayan history. He was brilliant at separating historical fact from the Hollywood myths we often hear, and managed to make the whole experience engaging for both us and our 7- and 10-year-old children. The tour of the main temple and surrounding temples was breathtaking, and we learned so much more than we expected. One of the things we particularly enjoyed was learning about the local flora and wildlife and how these connected with Mayan beliefs, nature and the spiritual world. It really helped bring the history to life and gave us a much deeper understanding of the Mayan civilisation. We then finished the experience with a fantastic visit to a local cenote, around 30 minutes away. This was an experience in itself and a real highlight of the day. The buffet lunch was standard but perfectly good, with plenty of choice to cater for everyone's needs. Nothing particularly special, but it did the job. The journey was approximately 2 hours each way from Playa del Carmen. Mario used the toll roads, which made a huge difference and, in our opinion, was absolutely worth doing. A huge thank you to Mario. You are a real credit to the tour company. Your passion for Mexico and its incredibly rich and important history really shines through, and you made the experience something our whole family will remember. Highly recommended.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

My family had a wonderful experience with Xaman-Ha Connections on our tour to Chichen Itza and Cenote Saamal! I asked to make a change to the date of our tour prior to arriving in Cancun. The staff were polite, helpful & accommodating! Our guide, Sabino, made us feel safe & well cared for the entire time. He was knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts with us. The swim at the cenote was the highlight of our entire trip! It was really a welcomed end to our day that cooled us off and delighted the kids! We booked the Small Group Tour but it ended up a private tour that day as we were the only family. We were able to leave early, drive in a small 12 person van & beat all the large bus tours before the big groups crowded the sites. We were back in time for dinner & an evening swim at the pool.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

So Good, We did it twice Our family embarked on the El Cielo tour from Tulum, despite the long trek. The journey was worth it, as the water at El Cielo was crystal clear, unlike the usual sargassum during this time of year. We indulged in snorkeling in the breathtaking waters. Miguel, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our family members who couldn’t swim. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and even requested Miguel to take us on a second tour to explore the Tulum Ruins and swim with the turtles. Miguel and Manny, our second guide, were equally wonderful.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Solo Traveller I was heading to Tulum and it was my first time traveling solo internationally. My hotel arranged my transportation from the Cancun Airport through Xaman-Ha Connections. They were professional and communicative via WhatsApp from the start. The day before I landed, Aranza reached out to confirm the reservation and provided the name of the driver and the car’s license plate number. She also explained where I would meet the driver at the Welcome Wall. When I arrived at the airport, Aranza sent me a picture of the sign with my name on it so I would know what it looked like. I was very impressed with this attention to detail and it really put my mind at ease. At the welcome wall, there was a gentleman from the company who escorted me to the van with my driver, Roman, waiting for me with the air conditioning on and he gave me a bottle of water to cool off from the humidity. Roman got me to Tulum safely and it felt like in no time. Also, for my departure, Aranza confirmed the day before and my driver, Cesar, arrived on time or even a little early. I had no worries at this point because my arrival went so smoothly. I felt very safe with both my drivers Roman and Cesar, and Aranza was extremely professional in her communications. I will definitely use Xaman-Ha Connections the next time I visit the Riviera Maya.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Magical. A truly unforgettable day! The hot air balloon flight at sunrise offered magnificent and spectacular views of the site. The logistics were impeccable from start to finish. A huge thank you to Luis, our driver, who was fantastic and incredibly kind, as well as to Montserrat, our guide at the site. Montserrat was wonderful: very professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in her explanations. Perfect organization and a moment etched in our memories. Don't hesitate for a second!

Perfect day, no hassles, Aranza & Mario are the best I booked with Aranza, on a very short notice. She was very friendly and helped me through the whole process, from giving me all the information about the alternatives to sending me the link to pay. Two days later, Mario picked me up on time and I joined a family to visit Chichen Itza and a cenote. A very good driver and excellent guide, who could explain things without rushing and be informative without being overwhelming. All in all, I spent a very good day, Xaman Ha really delivered on its promises and showed it is able to provide a good experience.Posted on Trustindex![]()

As always, an amazing expwrience with xman-ha! We've used this company for numerous private trips while staying in Cancun and every experience has been amazing! Sabino is very passionate about what he does and the knowledge he shares and service he provides is top notch! We personally request Sabino for our excursions because he is a wealth of knowledge and each tour we've done with him has been incredible and well worth the money for a private excursion. So far, we've used Xman-ha Connections to visit cenotes, Coba, Tulum, Chitchen Itza twice and Ek Balam. Aranza assisted us in customizing a trip during our last visit to Cancun and her dedication to creating a trip perfectly tailored to our interests and our schedule resulted in a memorable time with family. What was most impressive about Xman-ha Connections was their flexibility in rescheduling our tour when a last minute family medical situation prevented us from doing our tour as scheduled. The concern for their clients and their desire to offer an experience that is above and beyond their competitors is what makes this company stand out above the others. I can't say enough good things about this tour company and I will continue to book with them for future our future excursions.+1Posted on Trustindex![]()

Amazing Experience with Fernando Fernando our private guide was so perfect we still can hardly believe it! We had booked a tour for the three of us to Chichen Itza and a cenote but (thanks to Fernando and Xaman-Ha) were able to switch during the drive for the trip we really wanted: Ek Balam where you can still climb some of the structures and without the crowds! The company was really great to work with, the price for a private tour was the best and they were VERY thoughtful about helping us choose a non-crowded cenote for our swim. Fernando was really kind and knowledgable and was able to speak to us on a wide range of topics, from history and science to international mythology to mystical aspects of the sites – basically, everything we were interested in he could speak to. Plus, he offered to take us for our lunch to a secret spot with possibly the best food of our entire trip. Would recommend 100% and we will definitely look forward to another tour of different sites when we return some day!+1Posted on Trustindex![]()

FERNANDO FERNANDO FERNANDO!! UNFORGETABLE DAY EXCURSIONS FULL OF LEARNING Fernando's expertise and passion made our visits to Sian Ka’an and Chichén Itzá unforgettable. My husband and I recently booked a tour with Xaman-Ha Connections and we visited Tulum, Coba, 2 cenotes, stopped at a small community in the jungle for a traditional meal (absolutely delicious!) and were led through the property by a shaman who shared his family's history and different artifacts that had been found in the area, explained the healing/medicinal purpose of the various plants he picked and had us sample as we roamed the grounds, showed us his collection of bees who live in logs and let us try the honey they produced, and performed a ceremonial ritual with us. Our guide, Sabino, impressed us from the moment he picked us up from our resort in Cancun. Sabino's deep passion for the culture and history of his country was clearly evident. That, along with Sabino's vast knowledge gained from 30 years of guide experience and his continued professional development and certifications earned resulted in my husband and I having the pmost incredible experience. We were so thrilled with our tour that we booked another tour with Sabino for the following week. We visited a church, Chichen Itza, 2 open air cenotes, did a tequila tasting, had another fabulous lunch, and did some shopping in Valladolid before returning to our hotel. Sabino went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had a memorable time. Sabino clearly communicated with us in English and he and my history buff husband conversed for hours about the Myans, Aztecs, architecture, artifacts, etc. I can't rave enough about our positive experience during both of the tours we booked with Sabino through Xama-Ha Connections. Their customer service and professionalism far surpassed our expectations. When we returned home and looked at the fabulous videos and photos that Sabino took on his phone and shared with us through WhatsApp, we sent an additional tip to him through PayPal because we were so happy that he had captured so many special moments during our tours. We are already planning on another tour with Sabino and Xaman-Ha Connections to Ek Balam and more cenotes when we return to Mexico in 6 months. A private tour is well worth the expense and you won't be disappointed if booking through this company! We had a 5 star experience during both of the tours we booked and I will continue to use Xaman-Ha Connections for my future sightseeing excursions in Mexico.Posted on Facebook![]()

My wife and I booked two excursions with Xaman-Ha Connections while we were visiting Tulum, the second excursion being that we liked our first experience so much. Our first tour was of Chichen Itza followed by a Cenote, with tour guide Sabino. We had such an amazing time and learned so much. Sabino was extremely kind and knowledgeable; and really seems to care about the Mayan culture and it’s history. We had such an amazing time when we booked our next adventure we requested Sabino again, and again he did not disappoint. Our second trip was less educational and more of an adventure where we went swimming with sea turtles, followed by atving and a trip to a Cenote followed by lunch. Again Sabino was great. We would recommend this company to anyone visiting Tulum, and will definitely use again on future trips.Posted on Facebook![]()

We had a brilliant tour of the Coba ruins and the Punta Laguna nature reserve with Daniel. He was very knowledgable about the history and culture of the places we visited, spoke excellent English and was great fun to be with. He went above and beyond, sending us photos he'd taken of the tour when we couldn't (ie on the zipline or climbing a rope ladder from an underground cenote!) and even helping us set up our own tour for the following day. Can't recommend enough. Thanks again Dan!Posted on Facebook![]()

FAQ
What is included in a private tour with Xaman-Ha Connections?
Every tour includes private, round-trip, door-to-door transportation, a certified private guide, all entrance fees, lunch, complimentary beverages, and activity equipment. There are no hidden fees, no hotel stops, no affiliate shop, and no shared riders.
Are your tours really 100% private?
Yes, always. While archaeological sites and other locations are open to the public, your experience remains completely private. You will never share your guide, vehicle, or itinerary with strangers. Every tour is exclusively for you and your travel companions, at your own pace.
Where do your private tours depart from?
We offer private tours throughout the entire Riviera Maya corridor, including Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cancún. We pick you up directly at your hotel lobby. There is no need to find a meeting point or arrange separate transportation.
Can you pick me up at the ferry terminal in Cancún or Playa del Carmen?
We offer door-to-door pickup throughout the entire Riviera Maya corridor, including ferry terminals in Cancún and Playa del Carmen. Just let us know your exact location when booking and we will arrange everything for you.
How far in advance should I book a private tour?
Since every tour can be fully personalized, we recommend booking at least 3 days in advance. This gives us time to tailor your experience to your group’s needs. During peak season (December–March and June–August), booking early is strongly advised.
What is your cancellation policy?
For most tours, we offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your departure. Tours involving special logistics — such as boats, yachts, or similar experiences — require cancellation at least one week in advance. For full details, please review our Cancellation Policy.
